Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl For blooming gelatin
  • 1 Whisk or spoon To stir gelatin into hot water
  • 1 Measuring cup For liquids
  • 1 Silicone molds or small jars For portioning gelatin

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Grass-fed gelatin Unflavored not collagen peptides
  • 1 cup Water Divided into 1/2 cold and 1/2 hot
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice Or use apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch Pink salt Optional – adds electrolytes
  • Optional Natural sweetener Stevia or monk fruit to taste

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, bloom gelatin by adding it to 1/2 cup of cold water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining 1/2 cup of water until steaming but not boiling.
  • Pour hot water over the bloomed gelatin. Whisk until fully dissolved.
  • Stir in lemon juice (or ACV), pink salt, and sweetener if using.
  • Pour the mixture into small jars or silicone molds.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until set.
  • Eat 1 serving (about 1/2 cup) 10–15 minutes before meals to curb appetite.

Notes

This recipe sets faster when chilled in silicone molds or shallow containers.
For a “pink” variation, add 1 tsp beet powder or use flavored collagen with natural coloring.
Safe for most bariatric diets, but confirm with your provider if post-op.
For evening cravings, try adding 1/4 tsp magnesium citrate or lemon balm for a calming twist.
