strawberry overnight oats recipe in glass jar

Strawberry Overnight Oats

Strawberry overnight oats are a simple no-cook breakfast made by soaking rolled oats with milk, strawberries, and optional chia seeds overnight. The oats absorb the liquid and become creamy by morning, creating a fresh, naturally sweet breakfast that works perfectly for meal prep and busy mornings.

Equipment

  • mason jar or container with lid
  • – Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (any type)
  • 1/4 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  • Add rolled oats to a jar or container.
  • Pour in the milk.
  • Add chopped strawberries.
  • Add chia seeds and honey or maple syrup.
  • Stir everything together until evenly combined.
  • Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • Stir the oats in the morning and add extra strawberries or toppings before serving.

Notes

Use rolled oats rather than instant oats for the best texture. Fresh strawberries provide the brightest flavor, but frozen strawberries also work well if chopped before mixing. If the oats become too thick after soaking, add a splash of milk and stir before serving. Overnight oats can be eaten cold or gently warmed in the microwave.
