Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon balm leaves or 1 tbsp dried lemon balm
  • 1 cup Water just boiled
  • 1 stick Cinnamon optional for metabolism
  • 1 slice Ginger optional for digestion

Instructions

  • Wash and gently crush the lemon balm leaves if using fresh.
  • Bring water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.
  • Place lemon balm (and optional cinnamon or ginger) into a mug or teapot.
  • Pour hot water over the herbs and cover.
  • Let steep for 8–10 minutes.
  • Strain and enjoy warm, ideally 30 minutes before your meal.

Notes

You can mix this tea with 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp unsweetened cranberry juice for added digestive support. Avoid using lemon balm daily if you're on thyroid medication. Store dried lemon balm in an airtight container for up to 12 months.
